Aeroflot and Sabre Extend Agreement

Aeroflot, Russia’s national carrier, has extended its long-term relationship with Sabre Airline Solutions by renewing its agreement for SabreSonic Customer Sales and Service (CSS) reservations system.

“Today’s announcement reinforces our commitment to the Russian market, the strong relationship we have with Aeroflot, and our proven ability to provide solutions that meet their need for sustainable growth,” Sam Gilliland, CEO of Sabre Holdings, said.

“We are poised to grow our business in the next few years, and enhancing the customer service experience sits at the heart of this. To successfully achieve this, we need a strategic partner who can deliver flexible technology solutions that give us a competitive and innovative edge with customers,” said Vitaly Saveliev, CEO of Aeroflot.

Aeroflot plans to enhance its customer experience using advanced, new services through SabreSonic Web, which will provide travelers using the airline’s website a broad selection of shopping options and check-in services to meet their specific travel requirements. SabreSonic Web will also give the airline flexibility to showcase their products, services and special promotions as quickly as market conditions change, with a variety of payment options, Sabre says.

The airline also plans to augment its existing ‘Aeroflot Bonus’ loyalty program, launching a new frequent flier program for corporate customers, and leveraging Sabre’s customer profile and calculator tools to tailor specific services for business passengers.

In addition to selecting Sabre for its reservations system, Aeroflot will also continue to be the preferred distribution partner of Sabre in Russia and around the world, providing all of its schedules, fares and inventory to agencies via the Sabre global distribution system.
