Air India has announced that, starting August 15, it will launch a new one-stop service between Newark Liberty International Airport and Ahmedabad, India, with a stop in London.

The flights will operate three times per week on Boeing 787 Dreamliners, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The aircraft will be configured with both Business and Economy Class service. Business Class will have 180-degree reclining flat beds, and both cabins will offer a choice of Indian or Continental cuisine.

Passengers headed to Ahmedabad can stop over in London, either at the beginning of their trip or on the way back to the United States, at no additional charge.

The new direct service via London to Ahmedabad is in addition to Air india’s daily nonstop flights from Newark to Mumbai, which will feature continuing service to Delhi starting August 14. The new service will bring the airline to a total of 17 flights per week to India from the New York metro area.
