Amadeus, JetBlue Enter Multi-Year Content Agreement

jetblueAmadeus and JetBlue Airways have signed a multi-year global distribution agreement that ensures Amadeus subscribers worldwide have access to the airline’s full range of content and enhanced, real-time data.

“Corporate and leisure travel agents continue to play an important role in the success of our business,” said Noreen Courtney-Wilds, vice president of Sales for JetBlue Airways. “Formalizing our relationship with Amadeus reinforces our commitment to the agency community and to making the JetBlue experience as widely available as possible.”

The agreement replaces and upgrades an existing distribution arrangement between the two companies, resulting in the continued seamless delivery of JetBlue fares, schedules and inventory available through the Amadeus global distribution system. Additionally, under the agreement, JetBlue will participate in Amadeus at the highest level and use enhanced functionality, such as Interactive Sell, Dynamic Availability and Interactive Seats, to put real-time airline data at agents’ fingertips.

“Our agreement with JetBlue gives our agents peace of mind and the best tools to serve their customers, knowing that they’re guaranteed access to the full range of JetBlue content,” said Dwayne Ingram, executive vice president, Amadeus Americas. “The agreement strengthens our relationship with JetBlue and delivers value across the travel channel – from airline to agent to traveling passenger.”

Amadeus has more than 130 content agreements with airlines worldwide that enable travel agents to access the carriers’ full inventory of fare, schedule and seat data. These agreements result in more than 255 million bookings a year, or 70 percent of all global airline bookings sold by Amadeus travel agencies worldwide.
