American Airlines Expands Service to the British Virgin Islands

American Airlines will expand service to the British Virgin Islands (BVI) from San Juan, Puerto Rico beginning May 2, increasing the number of daily San Juan-BVI flights to seven.

“We could not be more excited about this wonderful news from American Airlines,” said Perla George, general manager of North American sales and operations for the British Virgin Islands Tourist Board in written statement. “Even in these tough economic times, airlines do realize the power of popular destinations such as the BVI. Now, by increasing the number of daily inbound flights from three to seven, this expanded capacity means more travelers can experience all that we have to offer. To say that we are ready to welcome all of these new visitors is an understatement.”

Flights from San Juan leave from 8:26 a.m. to 8:05 p.m. The earliest departure flight from the BVI is 7:05 a.m. while the latest is 6:25 p.m.
