Avis Unveils New GPS Device

Avis has unveiled a new version of Where2, the rental car company's fully portable global positioning system and navigation device. The upgraded device, which is slim and can fit into a pocket, offers turn-by-turn directions in more than 40 languages and added services such as traffic alerts, weather reports, news updates, even movie listings provided by MSN Direct. Michael Caron, Avis' vice president of product and program development, says customer demand continues to grow for GPS functionality in rental cars. The new Where2 devices will be available beginning in March, priced at $11.95 per day or $49.75 for a week. Visit www.avis.com. (DE)
