China's Hainan Airlines Announces North American Service

Hainan Airlines, China's largest privately owned carrier, will commence service to North America with nonstop flights from Beijing to Seattle beginning June 9. Initial flights will be on new Airbus A330-200 aircraft with two classes of service, business and economy. There will be 36 business-class seats and 186 coach seats.

The service will operate four times weekly, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Departure from Beijing is at 4:20 p.m., arriving in Seattle at noon the same day, while the westbound flight leaves Seattle at 2 p.m. and arrives in Beijing at 4:35 p.m. the following day.

Onboard features include personal-touch screens for movies at every seat, flat-reclining seats in business class and seated in-flight yoga.
