Delta to Begin Nonstops From Los Angeles to Kauai and the Big Island

 

Delta is introducing daily nonstop flights from Los Angeles to Lihue, on the island of Kauai, and Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii, effective June 5, 2008.

With these new flights, Los Angeles will continue to serve as Delta’s largest gateway to Hawaii, with five daily roundtrips to four destinations. The Kona flight will depart L.A. at 12:15 p.m. and arrive at 2:50 p.m.; on the return, it will depart Kona at 8:50 p.m. and arrive in Los Angeles at 5:10 a.m. The Lihue flight will depart at noon and arrive at 2:50 p.m.; returning to L.A., the flight will depart Lihue at 8:50 p.m. and arrive at 5:20 a.m. To celebrate the addition of these routes, Delta is offering a one-way fare of $299 (based on roundtrip purchase) for travel through Aug. 5, 2008.
