Emirates reports it now offers travelers the option of booking hotel and car rental reservations through emirates.com. In partnership with Tourico Holidays, Emirates is offering the convenience of booking hotels and car rentals with airline tickets on one main booking website: www.emirates.com/hotelsandcars. Travelers can use the website to book hotel rooms and car rentals independently from an Emirates flight booking, or add hotel and car rentals to an existing itinerary, Emirates says.
Passengers may choose from more than 23,000 hotels in 130 countries and select from car rentals in 110 countries. In keeping with Emirates’ global client base, bookings can be made in 14 languages and can be paid for in 42 currencies.
“Convenience is the key reason behind our decision to supplement our airline booking services with both car and hotel booking options on our website,” said Emirates Senior Vice President, Network Passenger Sales Development Russell Sheldon. “Travelers now have a one-stop shop for booking all of their core travel needs.”
Travelers may view their entire itinerary on the airline’s homepage and modify or cancel hotel and car rental bookings accordingly. If no hotels or car rentals have been booked, the system will automatically offer personalized results, based on travel dates and destinations for the existing flight itinerary, Emirates says.
The new booking capabilities will also power Emirates’ Dubai Stopovers option, enabling travelers to choose a hotel stay online, rather than having to call a ticket office. If booked together with an Emirates flight, the hotel reservation will include a “meet and greet” at the airport, hotel transfers, and more, Emirates says.
Hotel and car rentals are not bookable in Angola, Brazil, Ghana, Iran, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Sudan and Tanzania. Emirates’ new booking system is the result of a partnership between Emirates and ezRez Software, Inc.
