On September 9, in celebration of Birmingham's International Airport's 70th anniversary, Emirates Airline will serve its Birmingham route with the A380, a superjumbo aircraft.

The highly publicized double-decker will be used on one of Emirates’ twice-daily services to Birmingham and will be the first commercial flight of an A380 outside of London Heathrow in the UK.

Passengers will have two chances to fly on the superjumbo between Dubai and Birmingham. Flight EK039 departs Dubai at 8:05 a.m. and arrives in Birmingham at 12:35 p.m. Alternatively, travelers can travel on EK040, which leaves Birmingham at 3:05 p.m. and lands in Dubai at 1:05 p.m. the next day.
