Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, will now fly to Dallas/ Ft. Worth, making it the airline's sixth destination in the U.S. The airline will start running three flights a week to the third largest city in Texas. It eventually hopes to launch a daily service.

“The two-way connections offered by this service will benefit the oil and gas sector and technology sectors, as well as the 20 fortune 500 companies based in Dallas/Fort Worth and the 52 fortune 500 companies based in Texas," said James Hogan, the president and chief executive officer of Etihad Airways.

Dallas and the Ft. Worth area is the 17th largest U.S. port trading with the UAE.
