Etihad Airways announced that it has entered into a codeshare agreement with Precision Air, Tanzania’s domestic airline.
Under the new codeshare agreement, Etihad Airways will place its EY code on Precision Air flights between Dar es Salaam and Kilimanjaro, Mwanza, Mtwara, Nairobi, Zanzibar, Pemba, and between Nairobi and Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar.
Precision Air will place its PW code on Etihad’s daily services between Dar es Salaam and Abu Dhabi. The move further improves the connections between East Africa and the United Arab Emirates, making it easier for passengers from Tanzania to travel to Abu Dhabi, with onward access to the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia, and the Americas.
Beginning December 21, 2016 travelers will be able to book flights through travel agents, and through the airline’s sales offices and contact centers starting January 11, 2017.
Dar es Salaam will mark the 10th destination in Africa served by Etihad Airways. The remaining destination include: Johannesburg, Nairobi, Entebbe, Khartoum, Casablanca, Rabat, Lagos, Cairo, and Mahé in the Seychelles.
