Since October 2014, Emirates airline has offered over 200,000 passengers free onboard Wi-Fi service.
On the majority of A380 aircrafts, travelers have free access to the first 10MB of data, with a supplementary $1 charge for the next 500MB. The air carrier will be donating the proceeds from these extra connection charges to the Emirates Airline Foundation through January 1, 2015, in an effort to provide aid to children around the world.
