The self-service car rental program Hertz on Demand has launched in Miami and expanded its fleet in Washington, DC, bringing its reach to nine cities in five countries on two continents.
Hertz on Demand is a self-service hourly car rental program that offers members 24-hour access to rental vehicles with an online reservation. Membership is free, and rates start from $6.50 per hour in the U.S., including gas, GPS, 24/7 roadside assistance and 180 free miles per 24 hour period. There are no late fees.
Electric vehicles, including the Nissan LEAF, Chevy Volt and Mitsubishi I-MiEV, are also available in select U.S. cities.
