Icelandair and JetBlue Partner Up

Icelandair, Iceland's flagship airline, and JetBlue Airways have joined forces to provide flights from JetBlue's network in the U.S. and the Caribbean to Icelandair's main hub in Iceland and its numerous destinations across Scandinavia, the UK and continental Europe.

The new Icelandair-JetBlue partnership will allow customers to book a single ticket for JetBlue and Icelandair-operated flights with one-stop check-in and baggage transfer between the two airlines. JetBlue-Icelandair tickets will be available to purchase via travel agents, online, and through Icelandair's reservations call center, which will be launched this week.

Icelandair offers three cabins; Economy, Economy Class, and Business Class, each featuring new leather seats and a personal in-flight entertainment system. Icelandair's service offers access to the popular destination of Reykjavik via the airline's gateway cities of Boston, New York/JFK and Washington/Dulles.

Icelandair will expand its service from Boston and New York/JFK to Reykjavik with twice-daily flights on June 1, 2011 and will launch a non-stop service from Washington/Dulles to Reykjavik on May 17, 2011.

Icelandair offers non-stop connections to destinations in Scandinavia, including Billund and Copenhagen, Denmark; Bergen and Oslo, Norway; Gothenburg and Stockholm, Sweden; Helsinki, Finland and other popular European cities including Amsterdam, Glasgow, London and Paris. In addition, connecting passengers may also stopover in Iceland at no additional airfare.
