Icelandair Announces Summer 2011 Flights

Already planning summer 2011 vacations? Here's some helpful news: Icelandair has announced additional flights from North America, and increased service to Scandinavia, Continental Europe and the UK for next summer

Icelandair will kick off their 2011 seasonal service from Toronto on March 30, 2011 with four flights per week and a fifth flight starting April 26, 2011. Further plans include additional nonstop summer flights starting in June. Starting May 5, 2011, Icelandair will operate up to six flights per week from Seattle Tacoma International with the addition of Thursday and Friday departures.

Passengers from North America will also have more options to Scandinavia with daily flights to Helsinki starting June 14, 2011 and additional flights to Bergen, Trondheim and Stavanger, Norway.  Frequency to Manchester and Glasgow will also increase with up to four flights per week through September.  

Earlier this month, Icelandair announced new destinations in Scandinavia including Billund, Denmark and Gothenburg, Sweden. Additionally, two flights a week to Hamburg, Germany will debut June 3, 2011.

With these additions, Icelandair will operate up to 200 flights per week for the 2011 summer schedule, including nine Scandinavian and five German destinations.
