Jet Airways Readies Western Expansion

India's Jet Airways has opened offices in the San Francisco area in preparation for its route expansion. The carrier, which already operates flights from New York and Toronto to London, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, has plans to expand its services to the U.S. West Coast this year, though at press time no further details were available.

"San Francisco and the Silicon Valley are very important markets for us, so we are very pleased now to be active players in the region," said Zainul Aljunied, regional vice president of the U.S. and Canada for Jet Airways. "Our westward expansion represents yet another significant achievement towards our chairman Naresh Goyal's aim of establishing Jet Airways among the world's top five airlines by 2010." The new office is located at 111 Anza Boulevard, Suite 300, in Burlingame, CA. Its telephone number is 650-347-2400. Visit www.jetairways.com. (JM)
