LAN Airlines Starts Seasonal Service

On Tuesday, LAN announced it would add the Patagonian port of Madryn to its two weekly flights from Santiago, Chile, beginning December 28 through March 4, 2007. On Thursdays and Sundays, such flights depart Santiago at 8:30 a.m., arriving at Puerto Madryn at 3:10 p.m. Return flights depart Puerto Madryn at 3:50 p.m. and arrive in Santiago at 10:55 p.m. Puerto Madryn is the entryway to the Valdes Peninsula, a location well-known for whale watching.
