Report: TSA to Debut PreCheck Program at New York JFK Airport

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is rolling out its popular PreCheck program at New York’s JFK Airport sometime early this year, NY1 reports. The program, which will apply to eligible American Airlines passengers and members of the Trusted Traveler program, features a faster screening process that does not require passengers remove their shoes, jacket or belt.

The TSA’s PreCheck program is a risk-based security measure that won praise from travel industry trade groups when it launched last year. Under the program, passengers are able to voluntarily provide information to the TSA that allows them to access special lanes for expedited security screening.
