United Applies for Washington-Beijing Route

United Airlines has applied for daily nonstop service between Washington, D.C., and Beijing. If approved, United will launch the route in March 2007 using Boeing 747 aircraft configured with 14 seats in first, 73 in business, and 260 in economy, including 88 economy-plus seats.
