Good news for travelers headed to the U.K. this summer: Breaking Travel News is reporting that thousands of extra seats will be available this summer on Virgin Pendolino trains between Glasgow Central and London Euston to meet with anticipated increased demand.
Three extra trains—with at least 439 seats per train—will operate every weekday in each direction between the cities on key dates in July, August and September in addition to the normal 13 each way.
The first of the extra weekday services will be introduced on July 2 with the maximum number operating between July 27 and August 10 and from August 29 to September 7. There are also some additional Saturday services between London and Scotland through Birmingham between July 7 and September 8.
