WestJet Starts Service From Toronto to Myrtle Beach, SC

canadaWestJet launched new twice-weekly nonstop service today between Toronto's Pearson International Airport and Myrtle Beach, SC

Chris Avery, WestJet's vice president, network planning, alliances and corporate development said "Myrtle Beach is one of the most popular destinations for Canadian vacationers."

He said Myrtle Beach is known for its beaches, world-class golf and warm southern hospitality, added Avery: "The baggage capacity of our 737 aircraft is ideal for those travelling with golf clubs."

Avery also said WestJet's policy is that the first checked bag is free. Through WestJet Vacations, travelers may also access a variety of accommodations packages at ocean-front resorts, condos and hotels. 

"The addition of WestJet's service from Toronto to Myrtle Beach is great news as we are focused on further developing our Canadian air service market," said Brad Dean, president and CEO, Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce.

He said not only is there now more nonstop air service from Toronto but also now more connecting options for Canadian travelers from other markets.
