According to USA TODAY, British Airways says it is adding a new nonstop daily flight between McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas and London's Heathrow Airport, due to begin in late October.

Airline officials say they consider Las Vegas a growth opportunity for the company, despite the slowdown in the tourism industry. Las Vegas visitors' bureau vice president Cathy Tull says the flight is a result of a decade of work to bring British Airways to the airport.

British Airways says roundtrip fares will start at about $460, plus fees and taxes.
