Universal Orlando to Add Water Park

Universal Volcano Bay

Universal Orlando Resort in Florida has announced the development of a third park, the water park experience Volcano Bay. The new development will join the other two parks at Universal Orlando, Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure.

Universal’s Volcano Bay will be located within Universal Orlando Resort, just south of the Cabana Bay Beach Resort. It will aim to offer an array of family-friendly water experiences and attractions, including highly themed and immersive environments, Universal said in a release announcing the new development.

Work is already underway on the new area, which is set to open in 2017. More details will be released in the near future, Universal said.
