Family-Friendly Festivals Throughout Hawaii

Hawaii is, quite understandably, a very popular destination for families, with plenty of attractions for kids, parents and grandparents alike. (Snorkeling never gets boring no matter how old you are.) Even better, the islands have numerous festivals that can appeal to all generations, whether focusing on music (like the ukulele, which originated in Hawaii), food (like poi or taro or even Spam) or dancing (the hula—need we say more?).

Here are four festivals that are worth checking out in April:

*    Merrie Monarch Festival (April 4-10)
*    Kauai Ukulele Festival (April 17)
*    SPAM JAM (April 24)
*    East Maui Taro Festival (April 24-25)
