Hawaii Travel Exchange Heads to Kauai in December

hawaii travel exchangeQuestex Hospitality + Travel, the world's largest multinational media, event and e-commerce company serving the global hospitality and travel industry, today announced that its fourth annual Hawaii Travel Exchange will be held December 1-4, 2013, at the Kauai Marriott Resort in Hawaii.

The exclusive, invitation-only program, presented by Travel Agent and Luxury Travel Advisor magazines along with partner Hawaii Visitors & Convention Bureau, will bring together top-producing travel advisors from across North America on a fully hosted basis.

Advisors will have the opportunity to meet with suppliers representing a range of Hawaii- focused vacation products during prescheduled one-to-one meetings, exclusive networking opportunities, on-site property inspections and educational sessions.

“We are very excited to head to Kauai this year and continue our partnership with the Hawaii Visitors & Convention Bureau and island chapters,” said Jennifer Fernandez, Hawaii Travel Exchange group show & event director. “Hawaii Travel Exchange not only affords participating advisors the chance to connect directly with key supplier partners, it also enables them to gain a better understanding of the Hawaiian cultural heritage and diverse selling opportunities each island has to offer their clientele, all while experiencing first-hand the islands’ warm hospitality.”

According to Fernandez, 100 percent of travel advisors and suppliers who previously attended the event said it “met or exceeded their expectations,” and 96 percent said they expected to book business within the first six months following the event.

Julie Zadeh, managing director of travel trade marketing for the Hawaii Visitors & Convention Bureau and a certified travel counselor, welcomed the Hawaii Travel Exchange back for the fourth year. “The beautiful island of Kauai will host this premiere event in 2013, bringing together Hawaiian suppliers and travel professionals to learn, share and grow their mutual business,” she said.

Travel advisors are selected based on a review of their transactions and volume of business booked, categories of bookings, specialization and other criteria. Hawaiian suppliers in attendance will represent the entire state including each of the island chapters, hotels and resorts, spas, cruise lines, tour operators, transportation companies, attractions, activities and airlines.
