Central Michel Richard Opens at Caesars Palace

Starting today, Sept. 7, Caesars Palace’s bustling main lobby will dish out some new flavor 24/7 with the opening of Central Michel Richard. The new American restaurant in Las Vegas will mark the first time a James Beard award-winning chef is helming a 24-hour dining experience.

Central Michel Richard at Caesars Palace will seat 220 guests inside and 80 diners outside along with another 75 patrons at the bar.

The new dining facility is named for Chef Michel Richard, who is known for his American fare with a French accent. Dishes will range from his fried chicken to a signature lobster burger and imaginative vacherins.

Richard was a pioneer in French/California cuisine before moving to Washington, D.C., where Michel Richard Citronelle became his flagship restaurant.

He was chosen by the James Beard Foundation as Outstanding Chef 2007, and also won the James Beard Foundation Award for Outstanding Wine Service at Citronelle the same year.

His second book, Happy in the Kitchen (Artisan, August 2006), won a James Beard Nomination.
