The Cosmopolitan, Las Vegas

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will boast oversized and residential-style rooms with large private terraces.

Slated to open December 15, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is the very model of “location, location, location,” its 8.7 acres rubbing elbows with two of the Strip’s top dogs—Bellagio and CityCenter. With 2,995 rooms, it is sure not to be lost in the shuffle. Rooms, oversized and residential-style with large private terraces, range in size from 730 to 5,400 square feet. There will also be 10 three-story bungalow-style suites that connect to the west pool deck.

The new hotel will open as a member of the Autograph Collection, Marriott International’s portfolio of luxury independent properties. This will be the Collection’s first property in Las Vegas as well as its first casino resort. (The Cosmopolitan will have its own 100,000-square-foot casino.) Guests at the hotel will have access to the Marriott Rewards guest loyalty program.

There are nine dining venues to choose from, including Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill, whose menu will have a blend of American bistro favorites as well as sushi; China Poblano, fusing both Mexican and Asian flavors; Comme Ça, a modern French brasserie; D.O.C.G., for classic rustic flavors from pizza and pasta to artisanal cheese and chocolate; Estiatorio Milos, for fresh Mediterranean-style fish; Holstein’s, a trendy burger concept; Jaleo, for Spanish flavors; Scarpetta, specializing in seasonally inspired Italian fare; and STK, a steakhouse with outposts in New York, Miami and Los Angeles.

With the help of hot spot designers The Tao Group (known for their work in New York, Las Vegas and the Hamptons), The Cosmopolitan will offer a nightclub, ultra lounge and daytime club poolscape.

There will be three unique pool settings, including the Boulevard Pool, the Bamboo Pool and the Day Club Pool. The first overlooks the Strip and can host up to 3,600 people for private events. The second will be more intimate with secluded areas, covered walkways and grassy banks. The third doubles as an extension of the nightclub in the later hours. During the day, it will be a comfortable lounge-style spot.

A highlight of the property will be the 43,000-square-foot Sahra Spa & Hammam. With 30 treatment rooms, a salon and two fitness areas, this will be the central spot for fitness and relaxation. Nice touches: a penthouse spa suite and Turkish hammam.

For guests who choose to go off-campus for dining and entertainment, The Cosmopolitan is connected by elevated pedestrian bridge to CityCenter and has ground-floor access to Bellagio.
