What to Do in Las Vegas on St. Patrick's Day

With Leap Day upon us St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner, and Las Vegas is playing a host of activities for travelers heading there the holiday. Travel Agent has rounded up a sampling of events to recommend to clients on the Strip:

The 46th Annual Sons of Erin St. Patrick's Day Parade & Festival

This family-friendly festival runs from Thursday, March 15 through Sunday, March 18 in the Henderson Events Plaza, 200 S. Water Street, in the historic Water Street District. The parade itself will take place on March 17, complete with floats, bagpipers and Celtic dancers. All will be decorated to the theme, “Wearin’ O’ the Green,” and have a chance to win trophies for “Best of Theme,” “Prettiest,” “Greenest” or “Most Original.” The Irish-inspired event will also feature a carnival with an all-ages midway, games, rides, food and live entertainment by local Irish bands.

St. Patrick's Day Fest at the Cannery Casino & Hotel

Starting at March 17 at 6 p.m., this free-admission show will feature One For the Irish Road & Dublin John. At 8 p.m., the Vegas U2 Tribute Band will take the stage. Guests must be 21 or older to enter.
