Virgin Vacations Brews Up Special UK Beer Tour

breweryGood news for beer aficionados who can now explore four UK craft breweries with noted brewmaster, Alan Pugsley, on a special 7-day escorted “Brewery Journey” created by Virgin Vacations.  

The special tour departs September 29, and costs $1,724 per person, land only; $2,789 land and air. Included in the air-inclusive price are round trip flights from Boston, New York, or Washington, D.C. to London, airline taxes and fuel charges, 5 nights accommodation, four pub lunches and five breakfasts, brewery tours, sightseeing, and services of a tour manager throughout. Flights are also available from cities nationwide.

The tour spends two nights in Oxford, and one each in Staffordshire, in King’s Lynn, near England’s eastern coast, and in London. Breweries visited are Ringwood, Wychwood, Banks, and Burton Upon Trent, as well as Crisp Malting, plus a trip to the National Brewery Centre. 

Alan Pugsley is one of the most influential players in the revival of craft brewing, Virgin Vacations says. The noted brewmaster has helped establish more than 70 breweries in North America.
