Westin Pursues Developments in China

The luxury market continues to surge in China as Starwood Hotels & Resorts plans to open three new Westin hotels in Ningbo, Xian and Xiamen over the next six months. Earlier this year Westin opened three hotels in Nanjing, Wuhan and Guangzhou.

The Westin Ningbo will offer 312 rooms, six restaurants and bars, a Heavenly Spa and 14,000 square feet of meeting space.

The Westin Xian will be within a short distance of the ancient city's cultural attractions, ruins and temples. It will feature 326 rooms, a Heavenly Spa, an indoor swimming pool, 5,705 square feet of meeting facilities and an art and artifact museum below the hotel.

The Westin Xiamen will be a 304-room property with a variety of Chinese and international restaurants. A Heavenly Spa will also be available long with an indoor pool and over 14,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.

At each property the guest rooms will feature the iconic Heavenly beds, along with in-room Internet access and work spaces.
