Tianguis Turistico 2013 has come to an end, and Travel Agent spent its remaining time there with a look at what’s ahead for tour operators and resorts in Mexico.
We chatted with Elizabeth Moriarty of MLT Vacations, who told us that the company’s airline partners are increasing nonstop service to Mexico. Delta will be increasing its Los Angeles to Puerto Vallarta flight from once a week to daily, and will also add nonstop flights from Los Angeles to Guadalajara.
Additionally, MLT is adding the adults-only, all-inclusive Valentin Imperial Maya and the adults-only Luxury Bahia Principe Sian Kaan to its resort offerings. Both properties are in the Riviera Maya.
Next we spoke with Solmar Hotels & Resorts about the phase three renovations at the Grand Solmar Land’s End Resort, which will continue into 2014. The resort is adding two new spa cabanas which should debut this month. In April 2014, the resort will complete Building C, which will add an additional 72 suites to the property.
Tianguis Turistico will move to Quintana Roo in 2014.
