Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Jennifer Fox as president. Fox brings more than 25 years of hospitality-related experience to the position, including her most recent job at InterContinental Hotels Group, where she was chief operating officer, managed operations, Continental Europe.
“I’ve known Jennifer for many years and we are extremely fortunate to be adding someone of her calibre to our executive team,” said Chris Cahill, chief operating officer, Fairmont Raffles Hotels International. “I’m excited to have the opportunity to work with Jennifer and firmly believe her leadership abilities, combined with her vast industry experience, branding expertise, and proven track record on driving hotel performance, will help enhance Fairmont’s position as a global leader in the luxury hotel market.”
Prior to this, Fox also held a range of senior leadership positions in brand marketing, including global brand manager for Sheraton and InterContinental, as well as stints as general manager at luxury hotels in Hong Kong, Europe, Australia and the U.S.
Fox succeeds Chris Cahill, who will now focus on his duties as chief operating officer for Fairmont Raffles Hotels International, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts’ parent company.
