Air France Strikes Pay Deal with Workers

Air France on Wednesday said it had come to terms on a two-year pay deal with its six major unions. Employees will get a one-time bonus of $600 in April 2006 as well as an average overall salary increase of 3.3 percent spread over two years, the airline said in a statement. Salaries make up about half Air France's operating expenses. The airline is part of the Franco-Dutch airline group Air France KLM.
