February 17, 2006 By: Camie Foster Travel Agent

Honolulu-based Aloha Airlines is poised to exit Chapter 13 bankruptcy reorganization as soon as its wire transactions funding the departure are received—an event expected to take place Feb. 17. Looking ahead, the carrier has another slot at John Wayne airport (SNA) in Orange County, CA and plans to use it to launch new service. The carrier will be continuing with its Boeing 737-200 aircraft for interisland service and Boeing 737-700 aircraft for its transpacific service. It is looking at other equipment options, especially for its long-haul service.
