American Offers Double Miles

May 15, 2006 By: Susan Young Travel Agent

To continue the 25th anniversary celebration of the AAdvantage Program, American Airlines will offer double miles on all published-fare tickets booked on AA.com from May 15–31 with travel completed by Nov. 15. AAdvantage members can visit [www.aadvantage25.com] to sign up for this promotion. To qualify, customers must register prior to travel or before May 31, whichever comes first. This bonus applies to all AAdvantage members who book American, American Eagle and the AmericanConnection airlines flights on AA.com and complete travel within the promotional period. A Chicago-to-Shanghai flight, for example, would earn 28,228 miles. In addition to the double AAdvantage miles, American, a founding member of the oneworld alliance, is offering a 25-percent discount on all of its MileSAAver awards within the Continental United States, and select awards to/from Hawaii, Canada, the Caribbean and Mexico. In order to receive the discount, customers must book and ticket their reservations May 1–May 31, and fly between Aug. 22 and Nov. 8. For more information, log onto [www.aadvantage25.com].
