Apple, Six Carriers Working on iPod Integration

Apple is working with six carriers to connect travelers' iPods with inflight entertainment systems, with connectivity scheduled to start in mid-2007. The six—Air France, Continental, Delta, Emirates, KLM and United—will provide iPod connections at their seats to power and charge their iPods during flight, and enable the video content on their devices to be viewed on their seatback display screens. In addition, Apple says it is working with Panasonic Avionics Corp. to expand connectivity to other carriers.
