British Airways and JAL to Launch Revenue-Sharing Deal

British Airways and Japan Airlines are launching a revenue sharing deal aimed at increasing routes between the two airlines, Reuters reports.

"Despite the difficulties the Japanese aviation market has faced in recent years, we have great confidence in JAL's business outlook and the overall market's future prospects," IAG Chief Executive Willie Walsh told Reuters.

Japan Airlines has applied to the Japanese government for antitrust approval on the deal, while British Airways parent company International Airlines Group has contacted the European Union.
