DFW Supports Virgin America Application

Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport CEO Jeff Fegan filed a letter of support today with the U.S. Department of Transportation for start-up carrier Virgin America's application for a U.S. airline license. Virgin America is considering DFW for new service to New York and San Francisco after the company begins its initial New York/San Francisco route in 2006. The airport said Virgin America would likely fill one or more of the gates left empty by Delta Air Lines' reduction of service in Terminal E, if it begins to fly from DFW.
