EVA Adds Third New Boeing 777 to Trans-Pac Service

EVA Air last week received its fifth new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft and has placed it into service between Los Angeles and Asia. The new aircraft joins two others placed on the route in recent months as the carrier operates its two additional B-777s on its Taipei-Bangkok-London route. EVA is adding three more such aircraft to its fleet this year for use on its Los Angeles-Taipei route as part of its plan to replace all of the B-747-400s it now uses for U.S. routes with B-777-300ERs.
