Escalating fuel costs have influenced yet another airline to make significant changes. Midwest Airlines today announced that it will cut 1,200 employees, a 40 percent reduction of its work force, Reuters reports. Midwest, a unit of Midwest Air Group, also announced that it remains in talks with unions that represent its pilots and flight attendants on the necessary concessions in order to lower costs.
