Northwest Airlines this week began using Airbus A3330 aircrafts on its daily nonstop between Minneapolis/St. Paul and Honolulu, signaling the retirement of the DC-10 aircraft from scheduled passenger service at Northwest after 34 years. The carrier retired the DC-10 from international service at the end of October and now has 23 Airbus A330 aircraft in flight on transatlantic, transpacific, intra-Asia and mainland U.S.-Hawaii service.
