Singapore Airlines Reduces Fuel Surcharges

As jet fuel prices drop due to decreased demand, Singapore Airlines has chosen to pass some of the savings on to its passengers. The carrier will reduce fuel surcharges for tickets issued from today forward for travel on short- and medium-haul flights. The following surcharges will apply for tickets purchased for travel on Singapore Airlines flights, on or after September 9:

Between Singapore and cities in Southeast Asia (ASEAN countries) the surcharge will be reduced from $40 to $36 per sector.

Between Singapore and cities in Europe and South Africa, as well as flights between North America and Hong Kong/ Seoul/ Tokyo/ Taipei/ Frankfurt/ Moscow the surcharge remains at $110 per sector.

Between Singapore and cities in U.S./Canada (based on a single-sector) the surcharge remains at $180 per sector.

All Other flights (flights between Singapore and cities in Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, Bangladesh, Maldives, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, as well as flights between Dubai and Istanbul/Moscow and flights between Bangkok and Tokyo) the surcharge will be reduced from $110 to $100 per sector.
