Southwest Boosts Spring/Summer Schedule

Southwest Airlines is adding 15 flights this spring and summer; six of them will serve New Orleans. The nonstop roundtrip flights are being added in four installments. On April 28, the carrier begins one daily nonstop roundtrip between Las Vegas and Orlando; adds one between Chicago Midway and Buffalo for a total of three; adds a second between Chicago Midway and Salt Lake City; and adds one, its 11th, between Chicago Midway and Las Vegas. On May 25, it adds a daily nonstop roundtrip between Chicago Midway and Orange County, and another between Las Vegas and Orange County, for a total of five a day. June 10 marks the ramp-up of New Orleans service, with one new daily nonstop roundtrip to each of the following: Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood; Phoenix; Las Vegas; Baltimore/Washington; and Chicago Midway. It adds a ninth daily roundtrip between New Orleans and Houston Hobby. It also adds a third Seattle-Las Vegas nonstop roundtrip and a second Long Island/Islip-Las Vegas nonstop roundtrip. And on June 11, the carrier adds an 11th daily nonstop roundtrip between Chicago Midway and St. Louis.
