December 13, 2006 By: Jennifer Merritt Travel Agent

US Airways Vacations on Wednesday announced it is giving agents unrestricted access to US Airways fares on all segments, which translates to higher agent commissions. "We know how important bulk air terms and conditions are," Travis Christ, vice president of sales and marketing for the carrier, said in a statement. "US Airways Vacations is in a unique position to be able to offer this new policy and we are pleased to provide more commission opportunities for travel agents." Since December 8, the following commission structure applies to every package booked: For Nevada and Florida, 5 percent on standard call-in bookings, 8 percent on electronic bookings, 12 percent on Commission Choice call-in and 15 percent on electronic Commission Choice. For all other destinations, rates are 10 percent for standard call-in, 13 percent for electronic bookings, 17 percent for Commission Choice call-in and 20 percent for electronic Commission Choice bookings. For groups, 10 percent applies for standard call-in and 17 percent for Commission Choice call-in. Visit [].
