Vision Airlines recently published its fall flight schedule announcing that it will discontinue service to several cities.

Effective July 17, service will be discontinued to the cities of Huntsville, Savannah, Columbia, Greenville, Spartanburg and Baton Rouge.

"We had high hopes for all of the cities we serve however, the demand in a few of these cities has not met our expectations,” says Vision Airlines’ Chief Operating Officer David Meers. High fuel prices have also been cited as a factor in the decision.

Vision has plans to add new cities to its winter schedule that include locations in Florida, Las Vegas and the Caribbean. The winter schedule will be released by August 1, 2011.

Any affected passenger will be given the option of a full refund or offered the opportunity to travel from a nearby city served by Vision Airlines.
