JetBlue's Bill Prompts Industry Discussion

Following JetBlue's release of a passenger bill of rights earlier this week, other airline executives on Thursday met at the offices of the Air Transport Association to review individual customer service plans. The meeting also called for a government review of airline and airport preparations for handling weather-related problems, Reuters reported. Carriers also expressed a desire for the Federal Aviation Administration to change departure rules to allow aircraft to return to gates during delays without losing spots in line for takeoff, the news service noted, adding that airlines also want the Transportation Department to agree to plans that provide food and water to passengers during weather-related delays.
