PATH Hosts Expects Record Attendance at Vegas Symposium

handshakeThe Professional Association of Travel Hosts (PATH) reports that its fourth annual symposium will be held at the Venetian Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, May 1-2, 2013. The event is expected to set attendance records. It follows the annual Home Based Travel Agent Forum, which will also be held at the Venetian Hotel, April 29th to May 1st.

“The symposium is a unique opportunity for host agencies to discuss industry issues and challenges and to share best practices,” says PATH president Anita Pagliasso. “Because the event is open to members and non-members, host agencies across a wide spectrum of the industry can participate in brainstorming sessions and interactive panels designed to address common concerns.”

Host agencies and suppliers will also meet to exchange information and dialogue about how to work together effectively to maximize their mutual success, PATH said. Host- to-host only networking sessions will address the challenges facing host agencies. Interactive panels will cover travel insurance, fraud protection, working with independent contractors and other topics of mutual interest, Pagliasso said.

PATH is a non-profit organization whose members are comprised of host agencies for home-based travel agents. Its mission is to establish a code of ethics and performance standards for host agencies and to bring educational and training opportunities to its members.
