Tour Operator Releases New Australia, New Zealand Brochure

Intrepid Travel has announced the launch of its 2010 Australia and New Zealand brochure, with an improved East Coast Explorer trip and new Urban Adventures in Auckland.

In keeping with the company’s sustainable tourism goals, the 18-day East Coast Explorer trip has been revamped to use only public transport and hostel accommodation. The fully escorted trip departs Sydney and makes its way north along the coast to Cairns using trains, ferries and local buses. The new itinerary stops longer at popular destinations such as Byron Bay, Hervey Bay, Fraser Island and the Whitsunday Islands. The East Coast Explorer is priced from $3,005 (airfare extra; Intrepid Travel tour code PRW).

Intrepid has also recently introduced Urban Adventures—escorted tours of less than a day that include such activities as kayaking along a downtown river.

The new Australia and New Zealand brochure features two Urban Adventures in Auckland: Auckland Bike the Bays (3.5 hours, $63) and Walking Auckland (3 hours, $24). Both these trips combine to combine to form a longer Urban Adventure, Auckland Explore ($85).
