Crystal Cruises Offers 2 New Inland Brazilian Side-Trips

Crystal Cruises is providing two new shorebound excursions in Brazil as part of its Feb. 7 South America Crystal Symphony voyage, according to a Monday release. The side trips include a more adventures four-night journey to Pantanal and a one-night trip to the Pousada Vila D'este resort in Buzios.

They are extras on the 16-day voyage that begins with overnight stays in Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro before visiting Devil's Island, Barbados, and Turks and Caicos before terminating in Miami.

“Travel can be a very personal choice – one may prefer the adrenaline rush that comes with trekking through a rainforest, while others seek to truly unwind while on vacation," said John Stoll, vice president of land and port operations at Crystal Symphony. "Regardless of one’s personal style, a Crystal cruise truly provides experiences — on board and ashore — that will accommodate most any interest."

The "Wetlands of Panatal" trip leaves from Buenos Aires to Rio De Janeiro before continuing further inland. The trip, which includes horseback riding, canoeing, hiking and piranha fishing at a UNESCO World Heritage site and the world's largest wetlands, costs $3,298.

The "Beautiful Buzios Relaxing Resort Escape," which includes lounging on the beach along the protected waters near the fishing village of Buzios, costs $1,221.
