THE BAHAMAS–During a press breakfast at the 29th Caribbean Tourism Conference, in the Bahamas, Janis Braithwaite Edwards, British Virgin Islands director of tourism, noted various tourism projects that are well underway. Development continues on Scrub Island with Mainsail Resort, Marina and Spa, a luxury resort that is the first major development in the BVI in over 15 years. Little Dix is adding villas that will be complete in the upcoming season. Developments on Beef Island include a 200-room luxury condo hotel and Jack Nicklaus signature golf course.
